Helping Others

Posted: September 18, 2009 in Mood
Is it really worth it?

You take the initive at work to try to help others.  Previously, you asked for procedures, but no one could give a good answer.

Instead of letting you know there is a procedure, they send nasty e-mails and eventually you see a copy.

I must say it is so shocking.  It is amazing that people are in management positions that should not even be part of society.

What a day: I speak and no one hears me.

Lunch was great. I skipped it and went to Michaels with Whitney, and Eva met us there.  We had a great time, but it was way to short.  The rest of the day was good until I left work at 2:45 p.m.   I arrived home to a dark, electricity free home.

At 3 the roof esitmator called and said he would be late.  He arrived about 40 minutes late.  I could have stayed at work longer.  Estimate for a REPAIR -$5,000.  How horrible!  I could use that money to buy the best setup the Scrapncube sells.  To remove the chimney and fill in the hole would cost $4,000.

Knology was on our road fixing an accident that occurred earlier.  The garbage truck ripped down the cable lines.

I left the house around 4:45 p.m.   My thoughts were – the electricity will be on when I get back.  So, I proceeded to Star Market, Books a Million, Taco Bell (did not buy – smelled bad), and Sonic.  I arrived home around 6:45 p.m.   The house was still dark.

I called the Huntsville Utilities and the dispatcher said, "Well no one else has called, so something must be wrong in your house."  I explained nothing was wrong until Knology began working on the cables.  The dispatcher did not want to help me because no one else had complained.  He asked if my neighbor’s lights were on, and I told him I could see a faint glow from their window.  He thought they had electricity and I told him, "no, I think that is an emergency light."  Then I proceeded to tell him, "I am walking over to my neighbor’s house and will see if they are home."  Melonie answers the door and said she was using candles for light.  I was grateful that I was able to prove to the dispatcher that I was not lying to him.  Finally he gave in and said he would dispatch the technicians.

The technicians arrived about 20 minutes later.  The lights were on in less than 10 min.  The technicians did not even bother to come to the door to make sure everything was work.  Customer service is so bad.
